This evening, a combination of a sudden rainstorm and low afternoon sun created some spectacular lighting effects in our neighborhood, with the wet streets blazing with light and reducing everything to black and silver. These images, which appear to be black-and-white, are actually color photographs, and have only been minimally edited.
